Easy Bath soak for aching limbs…

I have a cold and it is making me feel rubbish! So last night I had to have a quick rummage around the house for ingredients I could use for a bath that what help soothe my aching limbs and ease my cold symptoms. This actually ended up being a lovely collection of ingredients so I thought I would share…..

To make this, you’ll need:

  • 100g Epsom salt
  • 25g Bicarbonate of Soda
  • 2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers – I took mine out of some Teapigs Tea Bags! I have run out of last years home dried Chamomile Flowers.
  • 1 tablespoon juniper berries
  • 2 tablespoons pine needles – foragged from the Christmas Tree that is till hanging around in the garden waiting for the Spring Equinox to be burned.
  • 1 tablespoon sage leaves
  • 10 drops of Lavender Oil
  • one 12″ x 12″ square of muslin or cheesecloth, or toe of a stocking (or sock)
  • ribbon or string

Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl and then place them in the center of the cloth and add the drops of essential oil. Take up the corners of the cloth and tie with a ribbon or string. Tie the herb bag over the tap to allow warm water to run through, then relax and enjoy!
